Poor duck!
A duck swims through an oily substance along the shore of the North Saskatchewan river beside Hawrelak Park on Saturday November 1, 2008. Alberta Environment has reported that an outfall storm drain downstream from Terwillegar Park was the source of the substance which has not been determined yet. A citizen called Alberta environment around 9:00 A.M. on Saturday morning. The source was contained by the afternoon however the substance, which had a strong odor similar to diesel fuel, was still visible in the river near Hawrelak Park around 6:00 P.M.
