How do blind people stay fashionable? Video by Ryan Jackson, edmontonjournal.com
I had the pleasure to work on an interesting story with Journal style writer Jodie Sinnema on how blind people stay fashionable.
Shot with two Panasonic GH4’s, 12-35mm f2.8, Canon 50mm f1.2L, two LEDgo 1200 LED video lights.

This video was my first opportunity to really push the new Panasonic GH4 in bright sunlight conditions.
I mostly used a Canon 70-200mm f2.8L IS for long shots and my friend Katherine Speur assisted me and got a lot of great shots with a second GH4 and a Panasonic 12-35 2.8.
For the interview with Kat I just used a reflector for light and a Canon 50mm f1.2L lens for the A-camera.
The 96fps slow motion was fantastic for this video. At 96fps you can only shoot in HD video so the quality isn’t as good as shooting 4K but it looks best when used with a long lens that blurs the background out a bit. I don’t really know why but 96fps with a long lens looks better than 96fps with a wide lens.
