Michelle Semple, 34, panhandles on Whyte Ave. near 108
St. Sunday afternoon. Originally from Ontario, Semple has been
panhandling on Edmonton streets for over three years. Semple says she
suffers from cerebral palsy and is unable to work so she lives in a
group home and panhandles to get money for food. She averages about $40
per day.
