I’ve shot a lot of sports over the years including NHL and NBA but I love shooting lacrosse. Maybe because it’s a smaller sport which wants to grow. The great thing about sports like this is you can get much much better access to shoot it.

I made this video with the help of Journal sports reporter Chris O’Leary. The Rush had a fantastic year in 2014 and I wanted to make a video that would get a new fan up to speed with everything they need to know about the sport and the team in under 90-seconds.

I filmed everything with my Panasonic GH3, Panasonic 12-25 f2.8, Canon 50mm f1.2L and 70-200 2.8L IS.
I used a LitePanels Micro Pro LED light and a wireless mic for Chris.

One gigantic help for this video was to use my iPhone as a teleprompter There are several apps out there. I use “Teleprompt+ 3” which works really well. I’ll write more about how I mount the iPhone above my lens in future posts.
