Farmers from all over the community came to a field near
Bonnyville to help combine 400 acres of barley for a family in
grief.

Five daughters aged 15 to 22 were left without parents
after a tragic airplane crash took their Mother, Father and
Grandmother.

Eight combines and eight trucks worked together to harvest the
crop in mere hours. With the help of friends and family the girls
are now left to care for over 4000 cattle and 6000 acres of land.

Get a video tour of Exercise DESERT RAM at CFB Wainright. A replica of Kandahar Air Field has been set up to train over 4,000 Canadian Soldiers for deployment to
Afghanistan in February. The base is set up to be just like the real thing to prepare the soldiers. There are mock Afghani villages, actors portraying villagers and surprise attacks to keep solders on their toes.
