This is my first time using medium format 21/4” x 21/4”
film … this picture cost a whole dollar to shoot and process!
…………. I’m going to go and take a thousand free digital
pictures now!

Soon I start internships and regularly shooting (and updating) and
then we move to Edmonton! Summer will be great!
I got a photo pass for Poison the Well in Toronto on April 6th which
will be fun. I had hoped that when I moved to Ontario I would see
more bands, but the problem is that I’m going to school in a small town
of 50,000 people so unless I drive 90mins to Toronto to see a concert
there aren’t many bands that come though here.
Our teachers are on strike right now. In fact over 9000 college
faculty are on strike in Ontario right now and over 150,000 students are
without school. Since there would have been only 7 more days of class
left anyways the year is pretty much over.
It’s a pretty uneventful end to it all. There are so many students in
my class I know I’ll never see again because everyone just went home
when the strike started and now we won’t get to have that cliché last
day of class to say goodbye to everyone.
I have been staying busy by doing a large freelance job for the
school to make pictures for next year’s student planner but aside from
that … I can’t wait to start working at Canadian Press wire service in
12 days! Wooo!

Ok. Now that I am finally caught up with my website,
(everything works now) I can catch you up with my life!
I have been very fortunate to secure a three week
internship at Canadian Press (CP Wire Service) in Toronto starting April
3rd, followed by another three week internship at The Ottawa Citizen,
THEN followed by a 19 week summer job at the Edmonton Sun.
Most importantly that last part means that Ashley and I
are moving back to the west!
The last 7 months have been a wonderful learning and
growing experience for both my education and my life but I can’t wait to
move back to “the west” and live in Edmonton … a mere 5 hour drive
from Saskatoon
I miss my family, my friends, “the scene”, the music
…. home. I look forward to seeing you all soon!
……p.s. I’m still in need of a place to stay in
Toronto and Ottawa for 3 weeks each, if anyone reading this is from
those cities and can take me in for 3 weeks please e-mail me. It would
be much appreciated
